ShowAtlas / Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Is ShowAtlas free?

Yes. There is no account, subscription or paywall. The site is paid for by ads.

Why is a show on Netflix in one country but not another?

Studios sell streaming rights separately in each country, often to different companies and for different periods. When a deal ends, the show moves to whichever service holds the new licence.

How accurate is the information?

Each listing was correct when we checked it. The check date is on every show page. Catalogs change every week, so confirm on the service itself before you pay for a subscription.

What do "not checked" and "not available" mean?

"Not available" means we checked that country and found no service offering the show. "Not checked" means no listing exists for that country, so we don't know either way.

Why isn't my show listed?

The dataset covers a selection of the most popular shows and is growing. Tell us which show you'd like added.

How does the wishlist work?

Tap the heart on any show to save it. Your wishlist page shows where each saved show streams in your country, and which services cover the most of your list. It's saved in your browser, so there's no account to create, but it won't follow you to another device. Use "Share your list" to send it to someone, or to open it on another device and add it there.

Can I use a VPN to watch another country's catalog?

We don't advise it. Most streaming services' terms of use forbid accessing content outside your country, and they may suspend your account. ShowAtlas is meant to help you choose a service where you live, or know what's available when you travel.

Do you earn money when I click through to a service?

No. Links go straight to the service, without affiliate or tracking codes. We earn money from the ads shown on our pages, not from the services we list.

I found a mistake. How do I report it?

Use the "Report a problem" link on the show page, or contact us with the show, the country and what you saw.
